For more than a decade, theMechanism’s founding partner and creative director, Dave Fletcher has explored a wide range of media—including print, video, photography and interactive design.
Dave has developed brand identity systems, promotional materials, environmental graphics, packaging and publication designs for a wide range of clients. As a leader in the web design profession, he has earned recognition from numerous creative associations and publications including: AIGA, HOW Magazine, and I.D., the International Design Magazine, and his work is featured in the book The Secret Life of Logos, by Leslie Cabarga. His philosophy of information delivery through the creative process has been discussed in international business publications, including: Office.com, and Information Week.
Dave was a featured judge in HOW magazine’s Interactive Design Annual, and I.D., the International Design Magazine’s Interactive Media Design Review. He has spoken extensively as a keynote and general session speaker, and has participated in panel discussions for HOW magazine, AIGA, and The New School in New York City.
Dave is a member of the board of the New York Metropolitan Area Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC–NY)—the leading advocate of the Internet as a global communications infrastructure.
