Our Approach
By guiding the design process with a set of defined ideas, we ensure that the use and cumulative effect of form, shape, size, color, type and spatial arrangement results in an effective user-interface that looks good, makes sense, will be easy-to-use and to manage.
theMechanism has based client success on following a pre-defined set of guidelines. All design deliverables will be visualized to:
Expand and Extend your Brand
A web site or collateral piece must result in an extension of an identity that conveys the strength of your image. The vitality and immediacy of creating an instant connection to your branded printed collateral is utmost importance.
Be Flexible
Any design solution must fit your immediate needs and also be capable of evolving and growing with the your needs over time. Web design, by virtue of clean XHTML templates and CSS, will allow for implified and seamless integration of existing and future content.
Be Web-Standards Based And Mobile Device Accessible
Web sites must be accessible from any modern web browser. The site templates will be tested to be web standards-compliant and accessible by mobile devices and a variety of modern browsers including: IE for the PC, Safari, & Mozilla Firefox. theMechanism does not design for non-standards compliant browsers.
Be Section 508 Compliant
In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Inaccessible technology interferes with an individual’s ability to obtain and use information quickly and easily. Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals. The law applies to all Federal agencies when they develop, procure, maintain, or use electronic and information technology. Under Section 508 (29 U.S.C. ‘794d), agencies must give disabled employees and members of the public access to information that is comparable to the access available to others. theMechanism builds all web sites to be fully compliant with Section 508.
