After theMechanism built the first version of eemerge’s web site after a rebranding effort, eemerge asked us to rebuild the web site in 2007 with new features and functionality.

Background
In 2001, theMechanism was contracted to build the first version of eemerge’s online experience. Five years later, theMechanism was contracted to re-investigate the site and make overall improvements based on the steady growth of eemerge from 2 floors at 440 9th avenue to 3 floors on 440 9th and 2 floors at a brand new office building on West 44th ave.
Solution
theMechanism performed an extensive I.A. exploration, revealing many new opportunities to increase audience retention and depth into the site. The addition of a brand new office facility also increased the opportunity for theMechansim to rebuild the site to strict web standards guidelines.
